Baby books to grow withWe all love them, and know that they are important for a child's development. Books often times are a wonderful alternative to television. I don't know about you, or your children. However, my daughter has loved books since the day we placed a plush book within her tiny little hands. Since almost day one, we have prided ourselves in the fact that we read to our daughter at least once daily. This number, of course increased at least, by ten fold since she has gained the ability to ask to read these beautiful , heart warming stories. When you are first introducing your child to books, I would first suggest obtaining the cloth books. These not only provide resistance to the destructive fingers, but the acidic baby drool as well. Fabric books tend to withstand even the heaviest of abuse. While these books are soft, and a wonderful start. They unfortunately aren't ornate enough to hold the attention of a child over six months of age.
Around the six month point in your child's life, I would suggest moving up the book chain. To a thick board book. You can obtain several titles in this series of zero to two board books. Depending on what you are wanting to achieve, whether it be teaching your child their colors, numbers, or letters there are many to choose from. I myself, tended to lean toward the fantasy oriented books, since my daughter had an affinity for the mysterious creatures such as dragons, fairies, and unicorns. However, you should never stop to accumulate these wonderful time passers. Classic titles such as Dr Seuss's Horton hears a who, The cat in the hat, and the Grinch who stole Christmas, are great examples of enchanting tails that will keep your child entertained for hours. If your child is still too addicted to television, to sit down and read a book. There are several spin offs that you may want to consider, such as the Max and Ruby book series that were then turned into a television series. Along with backyardigans , and even the Disney princess books. Below, I have stock piled a list of some of the most popular books of this season.
