Baby Christmas gifts

Your family may have a similar tradition to ours, where you wish to purchase one ornament a year for your new addition. There are some companies that now allow you to create your own personalized ornaments, that can be hung on your Christmas tree. Most of them come on your traditional Christmas theme shapes such as stockings, candy canes, or snow men. They generally come with a beveled cut edge, to prevent any sharp corners on the ornament and are roughly four inches tall. Most of them can be personalized with your child’s name, the year (IE: first Christmas, second Christmas), as well as the complete date.

Another option is to get your child the traditional “first Christmas” rompers or onesies, which can sometimes be personalized with your child’s name. These little outfits will help you to celebrate the special occasion that will only occur once in a lifetime (your child’s first Christmas!) Along these same lines, is to personalize more of his or her Christmas items; such as their stockings, shoes, and sometimes even Christmas candy that can be personalized for older children.

You may opt to go the more traditional rout, with things such as hooded bath towels; while they seem to be a simple gift, they will truly be appreciated. Even if you do not wish to purchase your standard pastel colored hooded bath towels, you can find several animal inspired towels for your child online. From frogs, flowers, horses, and even band-logo related hooded bath towels.

One of the items that your child will surely appreciate throughout their childhood, is a special little blanket to call their own. Many retailers offer several different options for you to choose from, whether there is an actual stuffed toy attached or not; which has become all the rage when it comes to gifting a blanket to a new born infant. However you can opt for a simple design, such as a band logo blanket; that will not only keep the infant snug and cozy on those chilly winters nights, but will help to convey the parent’s personal taste in music as well.

Pretty much anything goes for a babies Christmas gift. The one trick to the trade, is to keep all of the gifts within a couple months of their actual age at the time of the gift giving. This will help to ensure that the gift is usable, and that they will maintain it’s use throughout a longer period of time.
