Baby Leggings

Leggings named for their design, can be found in different sorts of fitted clothing that cover the legs. While they were originally two separate garments to cover the leg such as knee-leggings that were made of nylon or lycra. They are now seen as separates and one-piece items such as tights and panty hose. However the most popular for infants and children being that of tights, and even foot-less leggings for toddlers during dance lessons. This fashion staple took off in the early nineteen sixties, where girls would wear leggings called pantalettes; which would take a turn into taught-fitting trousers that are similar to the capris we know today.

While they were a fashion statement in gyms and fitness centers around the world, they are now known for a means of keeping a little girl’s legs nice and warm even when wearing a dress.
It wasn’t until late 2005 that leggings truly made a come-back into the world of fashion, and is booming as the edgy side of fashion begins to take place in trends such as rockabilly fashion, punk fashion, and gothic fashion for children.

Typically used with dresses, it is now becoming popular to layer your child’s clothing; as well as leggings with pants or shorts. Which will enable you to get slightly more use out of those summer and fall clothing choices, and keep your child warm throughout the later fall and winter months. Infant leggings can be found in several different cuts, sizes, colors, and prints; and lend themselves well to nearly any genre of fashion. Whether you are trying to find pint-sized leggings that have a skull and crossbones print, or if you prefer the standard pastel with flowers or baby animals; there is a pair of leggings out there for your child.

Leggings also have the ability to tie an outfit together. Often times when paired with a dress and some sassy shoes, a pair of leggings can help to bring a little bit of cohesion to the match. They also enable you to get a few family pictures made, without having your child’s feet bare in the chilly room. This is simply because many photo-studios require that you, and your children be bare-foot or don socks only during the session. Nothing is worse than cold tootsies, when socks just won’t do.
