Setting up a budget-friendly nurseryWhen you have an expectant child on the way, you will surely soon realize that infants tend to come with a lot of stuff. Many women and families that are expecting their first child, often times aren’t fully understanding of the cost of a child’s needs. While you may have stocked up on diapers, wipes, and other necessities; have you taken the time to think about what you want to do for your child’s first nursery theme? When it comes to choosing a theme for your child’s first room decor, it is important to keep it on a minimal budget; not only for the sake of your finances at the moment, but also at a later date when your child will express their wants to change the room, to fit his or her own personality. Some fun ways is to incorporate fun and inexpensive wallpaper borders, such as the Parade Nursery wall border that many companies offer. This works especially well, if your walls are already painted the color scheme you want; or even if they are a matte white in coloration it is an easy and budget friendly way, to add that needed pop of color. Remember however, that when your child is anywhere from three years of age to five they will probably exhibit a want for change in their infant style bedroom; and these wallpaper borders lend themselves well to change. You will simply need to find a wallpaper border that fits the theme of your child’s bedroom (possibly one that matches the bedding) and accessorieze. We all know that the number one element to a child’s room (or any room for that matter) is the bed. Remember, you don’t need to purchase a crib for two hundred to three hundred dollars; for your child to be safe and secure at night. It is important to utilize the national standards that are required for safety of children’s beds, for this reason you will need only to research the brand that you are wanting to purchase for its safety features. Whether the crib is one hundred dollars or much above, with a little research you can find a budget friendly crib that can grow with your child from crib, all the way to a twin sized bed. Following suit with choosing your child’s dresser’s you may wish to purchase a set of a crib, dresser, and changing table; otherwise I would suggest making sure that this furniture matches or compliments one another, to form a cohesive and beautiful theme room for your child. Remember, if you do decide to purchase a two in one item such as a dresser and changing table combination, you may end up with a useless piece of furniture within the next couple of years; that is of course assuming you aren’t planning on having another child. For this reason I would suggest purchasing two separate pieces, or allowing the changing table to be a part of your child’s crib that is meant to grow with your child.
