Cheap baby clothes vs. designer labels: budgeting for you child's wardrobeLike many parents out there, I am on a budget. This day and age with the deficit rising, and our countries economy lacking we need to become creative. However, what does that mean for your child's wardrobe? Fortunately, children's clothing tends to be on the cheaper side depending on what brands you are looking for. I myself tend to be a more frugal shopper with an eye for sales, or clearance prices. However, all while still enabling my daughter to dress like a child should. I mean, how many parents want their children walking around in scrounge clothes the rest of their lives?
While I might not be a believer in buying designer clothing for my child, I do take pride in dressing her in a manner that will reflect our parenting. I want her to be presentable, comfortable, and dressed for the season's weather. One way to do this, if you are dead set on those designer threads. Is by hitting clearance racks months in advance, IE: if your child is now six months of age, try shopping for something in the twelve month range for the next season. This is particularly good for winter clothing, as they seem to go lower on clearance racks than spring or summer clothing. Another great way to save, is by taking your shopping online; this not only holds the possibility to save you on the outright cost of clothing, but has the possibility to save you money on gas for your vehicle. I may differ from each individual piece of clothing, I do admit that I will purchase a more heavy-duty name brad shoe for my daughter. Although they tend to grow out of them, at an even faster rate than those onesies. I cannot with good conscience place those little tootsies in a pair of plastic shoes, that could cause tripping hazards or sores. For these, I am known for spending anywhere from twenty to fifty dollars on a decent pair of shoes such as Vans. Your choices may differ from mine however, but I cannot stress enough how important a good quality pair of shoes are. If you aren't willing to spend the extra cash on the footwear. I would suggest at least having not only the length but the width of your child's foot, allowing for the proper fit of shoes. So in conclusion, I do not think that it is necessary to purchase designer clothing for infants, through the age of eleven. These ages imparticular are rough on their clothing, and grow out of them too fast to keep up. However, with that said it will depend on everyone's specific situation. If you can afford to spend anywhere from fifty dollars to two hundred dollars, on an outfit for your child. I would gladly give you kudos for your achievement, but for the average family and our budgets. I do not think it is a wise choice, unless you take simple precautions. These precautions should be purchasing clearance, or buying a nicer outfit for family photographs, and special occasions. Related information topics:Geek baby clothes |
