Cheap baby shower favors

Once more, I would like to welcome you to this small group of articles, meant to help anyone who is hosting a baby shower As covered in the previous articles about hosting an alternative theme baby shower, you should now realize that isn’t a small undertaking. However in this series, I intend to give a little help to those who dare to brave the onset of creating, and throwing a wonderful baby shower for the expectant mother. In this small section, we will cover a few of the many ways to create fun, and unique baby-shower favors that will be handed out to the guests. Keep in mind however, that handing out favors isn’t mandatory while throwing a shower. But, it is a good way to make the party shine, and a good way to thank those who have chosen to attend the party, and to show their support.

Firstly, how many should you create? Well, it is inevitable that not everyone that you invite will grace you with their presence. Statistically speaking, you can only expect one out of every five people (or families) invited to show up for this joyous occasion. There are means to help you keep track of how many favors you are going to need, such as a good old fashion RSVP written on all of the invitations. While this is a great way to tell a general number of how many to expect , you should also intend to create at least five extra favors just in case you are not able to get in touch with all of the friends, and family who have been invited.

In these series of articles, we will cover a short but sweet listing of simple and low-cost choices to aid you in making your decisions of what to hand out. Remember, do it yourself projects may take more time, but is much more friendly to the host or hostesses’ budget for the party. Although it is rarely practiced, you may also consider asking for a small donation pool from the family of the mother-to-be, or even friends or family. However, please remember that the expectant parents are budgeting for one of the most expensive steps in their lives, so it is not considered proper protocol to ask them to dip into the finances at this time.

While budgeting for the party, you can anticipate spending anywhere from five to ten dollars on every person or family that attends the party. However with some DIY know-how and a couple hours under your belt, you can easily spend as little as a dollar per-head if you shop wisely at a party, supply store or a whole-sale craft store in your area.
