Children's pajamasWhen it comes to infant and toddler pajama’s there are many selections for you to choose from. While some may be as simple as night-time onesies for the newest member of your household, they can become fairly complex in design; such as infant blanket sleepers which allow you to keep a blanket far from baby, as he or she lulls to dream land. During your stroll through your local clothing shop, however you may find a lack in alternative garb for your child’s sleeping needs. Many retailers simply carry your average pastel colored pajama’s, with frilly or sporty theme prints. However, that is not to say that an edgier pj for your child is hard to find; like so many other alternative options for your child’s wardrobe, you may have to take your search online. One of the most important things to remember, when you are looking for pajama’s for your infant or toddler; is the season you are purchasing them for. During the winter months, I would suggest obtaining blanket sleepers for infants from newborn to one years of age ( This is to prevent any suffocation hazards, and have been proven to reduce the risk of SIDS). While toddlers from one to the time you are potty training, I would suggest footed sleepers that allow for easy access for diaper changes. For those children who are now beginning potty training however, I would strongly suggest a separates pajama set to allow your child to pull the pants down with ease; to lower the problem of wetting during this important time (nothing is worse than a child having to fumble with a tiny zipper to use the potty). While the winter months are all about keeping snug as a bug in a rug, during the summer you may want to opt for something a bit lighter. Depending on your propensity for keeping your AC blaring all night, you may choose to allow your infant to sleep in a simple onesie to help keep him or her cool. Although, for toddlers you should look for light weight fabric pajama’s that come with shorts and snug fitting top.
