From Cutesy to Dressy: Dressing your gothic baby for all occasionMany of the typical styles for the young gothic are styles of clothing that would be worn for a play-date, or a trip to the store. Let’s look at some occasions where you might want to have your baby in a dressed up fashion, but may not know how to remain true to the gothic style. There are many styles that are included in the gothic dress that many do not consider for the christening, or for the littlest flower girl or ring bearer. For such an occasion you can look to the style that may typically be used for those occasions, but it may be the color that you choose, and the additions you can make. For example, for a christening, you take that typical christening gown, and instead of white, a metallic gray. Then you add a beautiful gray lace overlay on the skirt, with some additional lace on select areas of the dress and of coarse the matching bonnet. Here you have yourself with a complete gothic look. Any occasion can be an occasion for a dressy look for your young gothic. Styles traditionally looked at for the gothic look are styles from the 19th Century or the early 20th Century. As with the gown mentioned above, it’s not just the style, but the colors and the additions that can be made to any outfit that can make it a gothic look.
