Handy uses for breast padsLike many, I stocked up clear to the gills with nursing pads during my pregnancy. From the occasional late pregnancy leak, all the way to the post weaning process I have had many stored about my home in various places. However once you have fulfilled your duties of breast feeding, there are still means to use up those piles of breast pads around your home. Below I have compiled a small list of handy tips on using those left over super absorbent breast protectors, and turning them into your all purpose household helpers! (You may even start stocking up on them as you find more uses around the home). * If you are lacking in the bust line and are sick of toilet tissue crinkles, or the expensive push up bras. You may want to try adding the nursing pad to your bra to help perk up the girls. * Some people may even decide to use breast pads as a sort of pasty to help cover their nipples, and prevent the need for a strapless bra. This of course does require a bit of enjinuity with some tape. I have found that it is better to pair it with a thinner strapless bra, or any other bra for that matter to keep yourself from perking up in cold weather. * I have had a friend or two that has placed a mildly used breast pad in the crib with their child during bed time, they claim that it has helped their children sleep better and longer; with the scent of mommy near by. * Do you have shoes that are a bit too big in the heel? Why not use a versitile breast pad to prevent the heel from rubbing on the back of your foot; and save your skin the wear and tear? * During your post partum bleeding you may want to soak a disposable breast pad in witch hazel, which will make a wonderful wipe for the post partum time in your life. * I personally used those re-usable breast pads to clean any household glass such as mirrors, and glass table tops. These work acceptionally well because they are lint free, and help to buff them to a sparkling clean shine. * Do you have a drippy pipe ? Or a leaky faucet? Never fear , as breast pads are wonderful to stop that constant tick tick tick of water droplets until you can have your husband, or a plumber fix these neucences. * Some women may leave their homes without their average menstrual pads or tampons, however most never let their breast pad supply in their diaper run dry. This is a wonderful means of stopping any post partum bleeding that may start up unexpectantly. * Are you like me, and have caught yourself cut without a bandage? Well, for any large cuts breast pads work wonders as a temporary cover for any wounds. However you should be prepared to be teased slightly by any friends, or family if they see you sporting this make-shift bandage of sorts. * I have purchased numorous packages of expensive makeup remover pads, so instead I looked toward the more creative methods, and used a disposable or washable breast pad for this!
