Now that we have discussed exercising your child, why not try to impalement your own exercise routine that includes your child? While it is fairly easy to slack on your exercise routine, while you are practicing your child’s movement and massage techniques, and watching after your new little one with your twenty four hour job. Finding the time for a workout schedule doesn’t have to be completely null and void. Many women often ask the normal questions such as “ Who is going to look after him or her while I am exercising? “, “ I don’t want to leave my child with a baby sitter” , or the classic “ With all the work I put into looking after my new baby, I don’t need the extra exercise ! I’m exhausted enough.. “ While all of these are valid points, I would like to bring to light one of my own. There are many ways for you, and your child to enjoy an exercise routine that has been built with busy mothers in mind; as well as their new babies. This of course should help ease your aversion to exercise, as you no longer have to think of the who’s, what’s, when’s and why’s of a daily exercise routine; instead you merely need to pick your child up and start the work out!

But why do I need to exercise, if I am happy with my body you might ask. Well, it has been proven that daily physical activity reduces stress greatly, can aid better sleeping patterns for both you and your child, can reduce the risk of some diseases, ward off depression, as well as keep you fit and healthy in your every day life. A daily exercise routine or strength training can also help prevent the onset of osteoporosis, improve self esteem or self worth, increase in stamina, and can ultimately help you to be able to do continuous work for a much longer time; all without crashing hard at the end of the night.

Now that I have your attention about why it is good for you to maintain an exercise routine, now it is time to realize the many benefits that it may have with your child. Allowing your child to participate in your exercise routine can help him or her to learn movement as well as coordination skills. Not to mention it enables you to form a strong bond with your child, as you both will surely have a great time while you are rolling around and having a wonderful time together. This of course is the number one rule to exercising with your child ( well, second since safety is always first) that you should have fun, and create a fun and stimulating environment for both you and your child. It would also be wonderful to create a family outing of exercise routines, IE: the whole family taking a walk together once a day) which will enable not only you and your child to connect, but the family as a whole.
