Pregnancy pillowsAs a woman who has gone through pregnancy myself, I can understand the need of being comfortable while you sleep. It can become difficult during the later months in your pregnancy, as your belly seems to loom larger and larger. You spend your nights tossing and turning, trying to find that perfect position for your belly. However, if you experience this in your first trimester; it doesn’t get easier during your second or third. Trust me, it doesn’t get any easier. I know you have become desperate to get some much needed beauty rest, however aren’t sure exactly where to turn. However, there is some hope in sight; especially if you haven’t tried any of the many options of pregnancy pillows available to you. However, keep in mind most of them are designed to be used in a side-sleeping position only; as this is the best position you can sleep during your pregnancy. Remember, when you use pillows to support your belly and back, it can mean the difference between a sleepless night and much needed slumber. You can use normal pillows for this if you’d like, however I’d suggest a more softer alternative. You will tuck medium sized pregnancy pillows between your bent knees, to help support your lower back; and help in side sleeping as well. (Remember, side-sleeping is the best option during pregnancy). You may also wish to tuck a normal sized pillow behind your back, especially if you have a tenancy to roll; since it will help to keep you in a side-sleeping position during sleep. One of the best pillows I have found during my own pregnancy, was the single or dual pregnancy wedge. The single wedge-shaped pillows offer support for your belly while you lay an your side. You may also wish to use them to prop yourself up in a semi-reclined position while sleeping on your back. While the double wedge is two pillows attached with adjustable velcro tabs, which can provide simultaneous support both in the front and back. Lastly you have your full length body pillows, and sleeping beans. The full length body pillows are generally at least 5 feet long, and designed to support both the back and belly during sleep. While the Sleeping been supports your belly and back while wrapping yourself in the column shaped pillow. It also makes a wonderful nursing pillow later, after your bundle of joy arrives. This of course can help you save some money in the long run. Related information topics:Unwritten Law baby clothes |
