Themed Rooms for Infants and ToddlersThere of course are so many different themes that you can choose from when you are decorating a child’s room. However one of the best ways to decorate a infant or toddler’s room is either around a theme or a color scheme. I have combined an array of simple how to instructions that will surely help you decorate your child’s room, whether it is a little boy or a girl. Firstly you should flip through your child’s favorite books to gain some ground in selecting the theme, which will allow you to add a little bit of your child’s personality into the room. It is of the utmost importance to involve older children in the choice of theme, which will enable your child to enjoy their room for much longer; than if mom and dad choose it themselves. However, if you are at a complete loss for what to do you may wish to follow suit of some of the more popular themes for infant’s and older children’s rooms. Themes such as super hero themes for young boys (IE: superman, batman, ninja turtles etc) have always been extremely popular. However, if you have a little girl; you may find that you are decorating in pastel colors in a princess or fantasy theme room. But, if you are trying to find something that is creative without using pastel colorations you may wish to find a more vibrant colored room with flowers or fun paintings of animals. With infants however, it may become slightly more difficult; since your child will grow out of their room sooner than you may think. You may wish to stick with a simple color pallet in your infant’s room, that can be easily translated into another theme later on. While a color pallet is wonderful in a child’s room, it can leave a wide range of means to decorate. You may wish to use photographs or magazine cut-outs of baby animals to create a framed picture for your little one’s room. The next step is to choose a focal point in the room, whether it be the usual bed as a focal point; or even a mural painted on the wall to suit your theme. You should make sure to give the focal point a little extra care, when you are enacting theme of your child’s room. Lastly, remember to use a little imagination when you are creating your infant or toddler’s sanctuary. Whether you choose to use a dragon, super hero, fairy, gothic, band, pirate, or even a more traditional theme in your child’s bedroom; it is the extra special touches that help to make it a safe and comforting place for your child.
