The Ties that Bind: Dressing your baby with style

Not so very long ago, you were a teenager. These were some of the most fantastic years of your life, when every act seemed to the adults to be one of rebellion. However, it wasn’t really rebellion, but the fact that you just wanted to be different, to be yourself and not have to wear the same old hat as everyone else.

Unique and fun baby clothing:

Gothic & emo baby clothing
Punk baby shoes
Rockabilly onesie
Goth baby clothes

Undoubtedly, one of the ways in which you displayed your originality was through your clothing, as with most generations. Recall, if you will, how your parents made you wear the clothes that they wore, how you were expected to be just like everyone else wearing the average T-shirts, slacks, and (Heaven Forbid!) ties. These days, though, you are the parent and you get to wear what you darned well please. Nevertheless, have you looked at your child lately? More than likely, your baby is wearing the same onesie that all the rest of the babies are wearing. Strolling around in the same old stroller, wearing the same diapers, t-shirts and bibs, all in the colors of white, pink and/or blue. Do you begin to see the whole picture here? Have you become the aspect of your parents that you so despised?

Not to worry, as it is not too late. Times have changed and so have clothing styles, but the styles of your teen years are not only returning, but coming back with a bang. These days, parents are truly remembering what it is like and refusing to brand their children with the same old stuff that every other baby in the nursery has. These days, the baby that stands out is the one that wears something that isn’t all cutesy. He or she is the one that is wearing a black t-shirt depicting the Ramones, the Cure, Kiss, or any other pop culture band. Remember belly shirts, cut off at the midsection, sleeves sliced off? It’s simple enough to customize the punk pop culture baby t-shirts with merely a pair of scissors. Imagine just how cool your baby will look with a belly shirt depicting Gene Simmons and a baby bandana. Now that is one bad to the bone baby!
