Top 10 diaper bag essentialsAs a new parent, or even a parent many times over; you may not know or remember exactly what you should carry in your diaper bag. You know that the diaper bag itself is essential to the first years of parenthood, however; what exactly should you put inside of that bulky little pack? Well, to help you in packing your diaper bag; we have created a top ten list of diaper-bag essentials for you to follow. Of course your top ten might differ from this slightly, many of the basics will remain the same parent-to-parent. What you will need for a useful and successful use of a diaper bag is: 1. Diapers! What diaper bag is complete without these? While they may seem obvious, you might not realize how easy it is to forget to pack this top-of-the-list item. Many parents often times forgetting to re-stock them on a weekly or bi-weekly basis; which will leave them high and dry when it comes to changing that next diaper. Granted if you are on your weekly shopping trip, it might not be a big problem. However if you are out for the day in the middle of no-where, nothing is worse than cutting your trip short; because you forgot to pack a diaper along! 2. Wipes. This little item goes hand-in-hand with the list-topper the diaper. Not only are they essential for changing a diaper; but they are great for cleaning up any messes along the way. IE: a messy face, runny nose, or even a spilt sippy cup. Usually it is best to keep a large stock-pile of them in your diaper bag. However, if you find that you don’t use the diaper bag often; you might wish to stick to daily supplies only. Simply because they tend to dry out if they are left in the diaper bag too long; regardless of the container. If you find yourself without wipes at any given time. Strong paper towels, that have been soaked in warm water can work as well. Which will enable you to get by until you replace the wipes. 3. Diaper cream such as A & D or Balmex. While this isn’t needed every time you change a diaper. You never know when diaper rash will strike! It is important that you stay on the offensive with a diaper rash, to keep a sore bum at bay.
