Top 10 toddler and infant halloween costumes

Whether this is the first Halloween that your child will experience, second, third, or fourth; the fact remains the same that you will need to find a costume. While there are several items for you to choose from year after year, you might not quite know how to get that perfect costume for this year’s trends. Depending on your budget, you might find one of these top-ten Halloween ideas for your child to be helpful. Keeping in mind that regardless of your finances, most of these costumes can be made from home; if you only have a little skill and some time on your hands.

1. First and foremost we have that curious monkey George. This is by far one of the cutest costumes around this year. Allowing your infant or toddler to run around in a fairly low-cost Halloween costume (usually running around $10-$20) and have the neighbors ooohing and ahhing over how adorable your child looks. Most of these Curious George costumes will be found as a one-piece romper set, with inner-leg snaps and non-slip shoes. Also including a character head-piece.

2. The second on the top-ten list this Halloween season; is a creature we should all be familiar with. It would seem that Betsy is making a comeback greater than ever. As dressing your child up in a cow-costume ranks number two on the chart. Most of these costumes can be found as a one-piece romper or a two-piece pant and t-shirt combination, along with a comfortable headpiece and a tail. You can generally expect to pay anywhere from $20- $30 dollars on this bovine Halloween costume.

3. Third pays homage to one of the greatest legends of rock. Elvis! This costume will have your infant or toddler rocking around with nothing to do but get some candy! Most of these costumes come in the form of a jump-suit and can be obtained with several different accessories, based upon your child’s age range. You can expect to pay anywhere from $30- $40 on this costume, depending on the accessories.

4. Moving on to the next must-have costume of this season for toddlers and infants. We have a Stone-age Pebbles costume. That’s right; this costume comes straight out of Bedrock for your child to wear. Usually amplified by several accessories, a body suit with blue pants and green top; will have your little one tossed back into the stone-age. This costume can cost anywhere from $30-40 depending on the accessories you choose.

5. It would seem that dressing up as a mouse will never go out of style. This is especially true for either Micky or Mini mouse. Both can be found with the character’s signature outfits, as well as their mouse ears. Depending on where you purchase this Halloween costume you can expect to pay anywhere from $30-$150. Taking note that if you purchase it directly from Disney it will tend to be more expensive

6. Along those same lines of Disney characters. Peter pan has become a favorite of many. So whether your infant or toddler dresses up as Peter himself, Wendy, or the all time favorite Tinker Bell; you will have your child whisked off to Never-Never land in a blink of an eye. You can expect to pay anywhere from $30-$150 on these costumes.

7. Nightmare before Christmas characters aren’t just loved by adults. They are adored by countless thousands of children around the world; thus making it one of the top 10 costumes for Halloween. While you might be hard-pressed to find infant-sized costumes in this theme, they are readily accessible for toddler aged children. You can expect to pay anywhere from $30-$150 for these costumes.

8. Baby animals will never go out of style when it comes to dressing infants, and small children up for Halloween. One of my personal all-time-favorites being that of the baby bat. Generally made out of crushed velvet- it is an especially adorable costume for first-time Halloween goers. You can expect to pay anywhere from $10-$30 for these costumes, making them extremely budget-friendly.

9. Along the same lines of cute-and-cuddly you have your typical black cat costume. If this costume didn’t pass the buck on this year’s top 10, something would be wrong. It would seem that this is by far one of the best-ever costume ideas, both for adults and children. It simply translates well with the cuteness factor of a child or infant. Generally you can expect to pay anywhere from $10-$50 on a kitty costume.

10. Your stereotypical Jack-o-lantern is still on the top ten list for this year. Often times being a fall-back costume for many parents, it is still an adorable idea for infants. While most toddlers would sit and glower at you, if you ever put them in one of these costumes. They are fairly inexpensive and will have your infant looking absolutely adorable. You can expect to pay anywhere from $10-$30 on these costumes
