There is a very broad range of fabrics that can and are used in the gothic clothing. Some typical fabrics for the classic look include cotton, leather, vinyl, and probably some velvet with a little bit of lace. And we cannot forget the tulle, fishnet, and silk or satin. Have I made my point yet? The fact of the matter is that almost all materials that can be used in fabric are part of the gothic look. But are they all appropriate for the little gothic? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say, “Yeah, sure, why not?” The look is eclectic and layered. Of coarse you will need to make the final decision for yourself and your own young gothic, but the fact of the matter is that most of these materials are used in every other style of clothing, so they are just as appropriate for the growing gothic. Most babies and little ones are layered, so precautions can be taken to make sure the material doesn’t irritate the little one, but most of the looks of the gothic can be achieved with any material out there. It all depends on your own personal style.
